hi Jim, aren't the north bar and lines set up so that the lines are equal length when pulled into the trim loop? by the sounds of what you had to do, i would say not though . . . if they had been, no backstall should have been evident . . . anyway, i do get what you want, you like kiting with the ba...

Re: EH's flat klte! .. the 2008 FD Unleashed 12 ..

hey . . . you will love this kite . . . it jumps very well/easily and hangs well too . . . very stable . . .will happily sit above you . . . and its turning ability is surprising for such a high AR kite . . . i have used it happily on a 45cm bar but had it out the other day on a 55cm bar and 25m lin...

Re: EH OV (Ovando) - Update

agree with Maradentro (Marc) with regard to keeping the Ovando moving rather than leaving it unattended when standing there with it directly overhead . . . more a concern in very light or gusty wind . . . otherwise the kite can tend to drop its nose.... you will only get caught once with this . . . ...

Re: EH OV (Ovando) - Update

with regard to the trim lines . . . i do agree with Panchito . . . there is little difference between the Ovando and Rippers . . . with regard to trim line length . . . my rippers i rode with around 30cm depower and the ovandos 25cm . . .though checking my Ovando bar shows that it has stretched to 2...

Re: Testing the 9 m Ovando 2010

hey Panchito . . . i have been waiting for your 9m review . . . i have one but the wind above 15 knots has deserted us for such a long time . . . though . . . i'm 88kg and have used the 9m in the 15+ range and didn't have to touch the depower . . . in fact it really starts to come alive after 15 kno...

Re: Testing the 9 m Ovando

my impressions . . . we have had no wind like forever now . . . 2 weeks ago, used the 9m on 45cm bar and 23+4m extensions . . . in about 10-15 knot winds . . . biggish board 142x42 . . . found it a bit slow though powerful enough to keep me upwind . . . and going while 13m slingy fuel wasn't doind a...
