Re: Light Years Ahead - The Airush Ultra V2

having a 12M UL, it's hard to see (literally) any difference between the two versions. i think it's a good kite for foiling, but i never thought weight was a big issue for this kite. contrary to their claims, it does not relaunch well. quite often that long thin strut can get stuck down in the wate...

Re: Light? Interesting what this will be about...

throw out a cryptic ad and they get responses from 'sounds great' to 'been there, done that'. seems the ad did what it was meant to...create a buzz.

Re: Surf/kite wing crossover (impulse) for lighter rider

i'm about 205 lbs, use the Impulse. I learned on the LF standard wing. I couldn't believe how much extra lift there was with the Impulse, but quickly learned to get more of my weight up front. Now it just feels natural. So even for me, there was a big difference initially, but i suspect everyone cou...

Re: Foil Kite advice Chrono,Hyperlink, Soul

You just need to follow that rule to avoid swimmming: if you can't jump more then 2 mast heights is time to go ashore. that might be a good rule IF the wind never dropped out suddenly and completely, but most of us know it can and sometimes does. Whether you drop your foil kite or your LEI, it ain'...

Re: Foil Kite advice Chrono,Hyperlink, Soul

yeah, my experience with foils was the same. lasted two days on it and went back to LEI. problems: all those damn lines on the kite, the unbearable slowness of the kite, the fear of dropping it into the water. i know i could've gotten better at flying it, but i genuinely disliked the feel of them kn...

Re: Does 2018 Enduro 12m have better low end than Neo 10m2?

unless there is something seriously wrong with either kite, any 12m will have better low end than any 10m. and any 12m will be slower turning than any 10m. you can't fool physics.

Re: Slingy & LF taking competitor wings

revhed sure did hate the first generation of LF foils though. They really did suck :thumb: And even more sucking for guys who bought them because of L F "hype" marketing and now know they suck and can not resell. If the "funny foil" was so great as L F claimed it was, why discontinued? And yes they...

Re: Stem Cell Treatment for Shoulder?

After 3 knee injuries from snowboarding I have no cartilage left in my knee and I plan on having stem cell therapy performed after the summer kite season. My doctor (who also works on the Seahawks) says he’s seen improvements in 75% of patients two years on after treatment. Can any doctors weigh in...

Re: Going from Short Mast to Long mast Advice

that's why i said i wasn't talking about the 'real short masts'. imagine the ease of riding a 1 inch mast. but we're talking approximately 60cm vs 90cm here, i think. when i first learnt (and believe me, i still consider myself a beginner after 6 months under my belt), i went from 18 inch mast (1 da...
