The vortex is shooting backwards!? Wow
No. The vortex trail is left behind by the wing tips, but as Tone said, the vortex is invisible until the air enters it when the wingtip breaches the surface. Then the air shoots backwards along the invisible vortex, making it visible.

Another way to look at it. The air at the surface of the water is actually under a high pressure, of 14.7 lbs/ sq inch. The surface of the water is at that same high pressure. The centre of the vortex is at lower pressure than the water around it, because the water is spinning and being thrown away ...

Does anyone have any advice for switching your foot stance on the Spitfire?
Here, he is using the Spitfire XLW on a strapless pocket board.

Re: Back to the roots of hydrofoiling ?

For a time there was only the Carafino and Rush Randle I think. I believe one of the catalysts for Taaroa becoming a thing was a disagreement over their arrangement for selling Carafino's in Europe. He could have been hyrdofoiling's cabrinha or naish but for his personality and practices. I tried h...

Re: Half a Zeeko windfoil = Spitfire monofoil

Also ride close to surface reduce lift additionally, pushing me to increase AoA. Thanks for the video. Its interesting to see pioneering at work -...
