Re: Cloud vs Reo.

I like neos but i dont use kite lift in HF transition. Im too undepowered for that. But i suppose it is quite size dependent. 7 neo gives me hard time on SB tack as there is just zip to other side. 9 is much easier. I would like to have neos with better drift in low wind on HF and better low wind wa...

Re: Cloud vs Reo.

Many thanks for opinion. This is also what i think about these kites - but just think. I rode on HF smaller sizes kites than windsurfer sails on water - so minimum power but on SB you have to be powered to easy and quick upwind. Also do not want two quiver.

Re: Lets discuss ear protection

I have treated my surfers ear by RIGOROUS drying after sessions - paper towel rolls and hair dryer asap. I was having big issues with it - but prevention is key IMO

Re: Moses 2018

Anything less than 91 - means you cant crank it /race position/. Even on glass water. 71 - is very good for surfing - upright position riding.
61 - is imo pointless

Re: Cloud vs Reo.

Thanks for opinion And as i never flew any of it - are reos much better than neos? I generally like Neos. What i didnt like that they are absolute PIA to restart. I honestly never had kite which was so bad to restart. For LW foiling they are drop&swim kites. But i drop kite one-two times pro season ...

Re: Kite 7m for hydrofoil

I very like foil kites for LW. But in 7m surfboard weather im rather on LEI. There is zero advantage of foil kite vs wave LEI in this wind. Even racer foil guys which I know - and they truly hates LEI kites - are on SB and wave LEI when is 7m weather. Get any decent wave LEI. In 10knots everything w...

Re: Marginal wind kites ?

Anyway. What about dream marginal wind kites? Im still think it is possible to make very good LEI for marginal freeride. It just must be clearly produced with warning about "maximal canopy load" So for freeride HF only. Quite conventional multistrut with minimum reinforcement and from very light clo...

Re: Marginal wind kites ?

I was using this https://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/air-density-specific-weight-d_600.html Online Air Density Calculator - and use little extreme 20 and 60. I was kiting whole June in Croatia and while it wasnt particular hot - about 25 whole time /unusual cold/ the air in kite was very very hot - i...

Re: Marginal wind kites ?

40 degree difference makes 200g per m3. I know 40 degree is little extreme but just little :) So in 3m3 kite it CAN be 600g uplifting force. I know this is very optimistic estimate but even half - 300g can make difference - especially in full line slack situation.
