Re: Revl Arc cam: Anybody preorder one?

In the scenes were stabilisation failed, they simply switch to super slow motion. You can expect the raw footage to be pretty unwatchable at those times. But the biggest problem of all these devices is that they come 2-3 years too late. The line mount angle has been so heavily overused in the past y...

Re: Evo vs Vader?

Yes, I was a bit worried at first.

But it seems to be the same strength as before.
Have about 35 days on it.
Looks about the same as FST before after that time.

I recently got myself a 5'3" EVO in Helium. I didn't bother weighing it, I'm anal, but not that anal.
I made it a habit of weighing all my boards when they are new and writing the numbers down.
It is the only way to know if your board has taken on water after a ding.

Re: FireWire Evo KiteSurfBoard

I got a Vader in Helium tech.
Weight is pretty insane for a kiteboard.

No dents after 10 sessions or so.
So it seems to hold up to my abuse.

Re: How do you rig your lines ?

I was actually thinking "no other kites" = likely to self launch. ;-) And the other two spots down here (Sunset/Karmers) I frequently go to, do not have enough room to lay out the lines to the side. Guess I simply never go to spots where rigging to the side is required. Almost all spots I go to get ...

Re: How do you rig your lines ?

You are right - I would have been thinking the same - but the poll shows (till now) this is apparently not the case, as 60 % dont change even if crowded/other kites on the beach ? No your wording is just bad. If you meant "crowded", you should have written that. You mentioned cape town, so for exam...

Re: How do you rig your lines ?

I do C and D mostly. A if needed. If it is windy, I almost always do D. After reading the other thread I tried to do A in very strong winds again and seriously it is a huge mess. If you have a firm sandy beach and 30 knots, the lines get blown over each other creating additional tangles all the time...
