Re: Cymatic (Tomo MPH) in kiteconstruction?

I got one of the first heliums in kite construction and it is still pretty much undamaged after more than a year. Overall it is quite a bit more robust that the FST I had before. The FST had serious heel dents after half a year, the helium has almost no dents at all. It also seems like the helium do...

Re: Got my hands on the Quark!

Their commercial strongly suggested that the quark is a product made by kitesurfers for kitesurfers what IMO is not true. One sentence of warning in their commercial and in the manual stating that is not fully waterproof would avoid such disappointment. Waterproof is the only selling point they hav...

Re: Got my hands on the Quark!

The manufacturer stated: The Waterproofing is a protection if its get wet or submerged for a quick period of time. My answer is that EVERY kiter using Quark will drop a kite to the water sooner or later and may drift more than "quick period of time". What then? "Quick period of time" is perfect def...

Re: Revl Arc cam: Anybody preorder one?

In the scenes were stabilisation failed, they simply switch to super slow motion. You can expect the raw footage to be pretty unwatchable at those times. But the biggest problem of all these devices is that they come 2-3 years too late. The line mount angle has been so heavily overused in the past y...

Re: Evo vs Vader?

Yes, I was a bit worried at first.

But it seems to be the same strength as before.
Have about 35 days on it.
Looks about the same as FST before after that time.

I recently got myself a 5'3" EVO in Helium. I didn't bother weighing it, I'm anal, but not that anal.
I made it a habit of weighing all my boards when they are new and writing the numbers down.
It is the only way to know if your board has taken on water after a ding.

Re: FireWire Evo KiteSurfBoard

I got a Vader in Helium tech.
Weight is pretty insane for a kiteboard.

No dents after 10 sessions or so.
So it seems to hold up to my abuse.
