Re: Nobile Kites? 555 & NHP

That wasn't a pimp... it was a very nice kite for an SLE. Well, I enjoyed it anyway.
If it wasn't, I wouldn't have said it.

Re: RRD Poison board - what size?

Just seems some guys are going a little wider these days? I have a Nobile 555 136x40 cm that I have been very satisfied with, but wonder if I should go 1-2 cm wider on my next board....... The 08 134x41 555 would be perfect for you then... Poison? Yep, one of the best boards from Thailand, but if y...

Re: Torch 4 5th line lengths???

Yeah, you got it now... It's the distance from the kite to the ball that is important, as the ball locks the shape. What's going on under it is irrelevant really. With the kite in the air and nicely trimmed, the red ball should be no more than about 2 inches from the "Y" joint. So when the kite gets...

Re: Question about Torch 08 with standard Shift

Ludmil, As far as i have seen so far, the standard 08 Shift is just the same as it's always been, but with a new bar. (You don't fix what isn't broken!) But if you take the SMART loop option, there is a sliding stopper. Pure freestylists though, would probably prefer the standard system. I think tha...

Re: Nobile kites, any feedback or tests?

Hi... I haven't ridden the NHP, but I had a quick blast on a 12m 555 in around 15 to 18 kts. Please note, I don't like bridled kites... Or didn't, until now! The 555 was sublime, super stable, very good feedback from the bar, and boosted extremely well. I won't say any more, as I spent less than an ...

Re: Give this kitesurfer a medal !!!

"In a remarkable turn of events in Geraldton, a Dad found himself being swept offshore holding on to two kids who couldn't swim. Sunday night at 8pm, the wind is cranking at over 30 knots (55 km/h), and there is one kiter out - Matty Kalajzich. Speaking with Matt, he said that the wind was turning ...

Re: Kite Company with worst name...

That's funny Nennek, I read the title and immediately thought i would post with Monkey... "Ah yeah!.. I had a good long session with my Monkey this afternoon!!" Gin, and Best... Yep, I concur to those as well. Royal is a little precocious too, especially considering the shocking bar I've seen. All t...

Re: Cabrinha Boracay Big Air Challenge injury!!!!

:-? She obviously means KPH which would equate to a respectable 38 kts... Or Nanette, your equipment needs some serious calibration! Not only is 72 knots probably physically impossible in only 30 kts of wind, but that would have smashed the outright world record for any form of sailing, by a milesto...
