Re: Surfboard size

tautologies is spot on!

If you choose to try one board for both look at the Firewire line. They are surfboards built stronger to kite. They still have the original volume, rail , rocker, and bottom shape for surfing but do sacrifice some flex with the stronger layup.

Re: Why directional

I agree with tautologies it's not about one or the other it's about what I'm in the mood for. I'll ride my directional when I'm in the mood to ride waves and my twin tip when I want to play with the waves. Curious - what can you do with a TT in waves, playing, you can not do with a waveboard ? :D P...

Re: Peter Lynn Kite Rep

Bottom line : It's not a territorial thing by the locals It's a self policing thing, in California and some other places across U.S.A kiters are being kicked out and denied access. I understand the stability of those kites, but it's not about you! The guy was asked by the "locals" to bring it down ...

Re: The curse of new gear.

That's usually the case for me but today I was able to go from the surf shop to the beach to try out my new board. :D However I did have to wait 4 weeks for it to get shaped and glassed.

Re: kiteboarding bootie suggestions

I've sprayed my feet with Flex Seal Rubber Sealant a few times in the past. It only last a couple of weeks but it works great! Only problem is it looks a bit funky when wearing flip flops. :D

Re: Harness life expectancy?

I'm one of those bigger blokes that rides big kites and enjoys big air. My harness is from 2008 and I have had to replace the straps on it twice but the harness and spreader pad are still in decent shape.
