Yes but if a fater board gets you on a plane and you have the same wet area you have a shorter board to deal with. Think about it this way, you have a board that is 130x35 and one that is 130x38. That's correct, I am the spelling police. With words like 'anemometer' and 'gauge', which are spelt the same in all the major accepted forms of English, noone should be spelling them incorrectly.
