Or don't go out in gnome farts, sufficient real wind in the Netherlands. :)

Maybe in 15-22knts nothing can beat the true C-kite feeling for you.I think a lot of kite-veterans will feel that way.
Like L. says.

Re: what do u think of th airush lift

Well back in C-days 12 was the best kite to learn over here, and to progress we needed the power of a 16 to be able to do anything in the light winds we were comfortable in.
Take care and remember hard objects downwind are your enemy.

Re: what do u think of th airush lift

You cannot get to extreme moments without control, unless you fancy being dragged along the beach like a ragdoll at 30mph. Competent kiters that are way overpowered, only cruise with their kite high, unless the water is flat as a sheet you have no chance of much radical action if you're way overpowered...

Re: Why is the Power of SLE Kites so Different from a C-kite?

A main concern of SLE design will be to reduce this oscillating effect as much as possible, bridle geometry plays a big part I think. My own solution to creating more depower on my 4-line C is using an SLE-bar with stopper, the added throw adds about 3knts to the comfort range of the kite. The added i...

Re: Why is the Power of SLE Kites so Different from a C-kite?

If you love yourself and kiteboarding, just add a 11 C to your quiver, until they've sorted SLE's out for freestyle performance. Personally I think the design parameters are too far apart, a SLE with 100% C-feeling ain't gonna be flat with bridles. Even adding a 5th to my 11 alters the kites behaviou...

Re: Xbow 2, potential fatality awaits

Submit yourself to enormous powers, whilst remaining in a foreign environment and then trust manmade contraptions? Nah,I'll just keep a close watch ,and try to have fun. Kitesurfing was and still is a dangerous sport, but over here riding horsback is more dangerous. Its not that there are no options,t...

Re: Xbow 2, potential fatality awaits

At this moment there are a lot of kites with the Ronstan pulleys on their bridles,90%of the SLE's are using them,we're talking a serious ammount of kites here. What do you expect,a failsafe component? Such a thing is near nonexistent. Read the original posters story and make your own trouble-scenari...
