Re: Now: Kitesurfer drifting in Colombia (Cabo de la Vela)

Reason #2 to keep your kite
You can sail it in to shore holding the wingtips while lying inside it
Is this still even taught? No one’s mentioned it yet and back in the good old days they used to sew straps into kites for this very purpose.

Re: High Y vs Low V bars

I am not a pro, but I consider myself advanced, and I certainly can feel the difference between V and Y even Low Y. I was given a Core this year, then, which I hated how it flew. Slidy turns with no power generation. I tried all the bridle positions which helped but finally going to the full made th...

Re: Not wanted rotations on lofty jumps

Read previous post^^^^^ Let go of bar with back hand. Sure grab the board it will fix everything Also be mindful of the position of your board. If you are indeed twisting after take off. It’s probably the wind blowing you around. I nearly got blown off the dock today walking my boards back from the ...

Re: Not wanted rotations on lofty jumps

Always look where you want to go, Beyond that After apexing let go of bar with back hand . It will redirect the Kite For a softer landing And Automatically Orient your body. And always keep your hands as close to the center of bar and less strongly redirecting the Kite for something like a big jump ...

Re: Who uses a cnc for their builds

Hand shaping is for surfboards. CNC is uneccessary, but a nice tool if you already have one. Should you buy one to make boards, no, not unless you have lots of free cash and want to use it for other things. Here is where CNC or other systems are essential to making boards: You need to make small and...

Re: Utah snowkite kite sizes

magnolo Do you need lessons? No, but would I suggest hiring a local as your guide, YES. Especially if you are only here for a short time a local can tell you when to go where. So much of kiting anywhere is getting to know how to read the forecasts, where to look for wind data and how to interpret it...

Re: Utah snowkite kite sizes

Bring 15 and 11. I only brought 12 and would like smaller kite. Whatever skis you like ride most... ask some locals about winds and site protocols and only go when locals are out. There are enough locals around that if no one is at the spot you are at, you are in the wrong place. Ive had one day so ...

I am so lucky that I get to spend a month in Salt Lake City, Feb 15-March 18. We got Epic Passes so I see my self at Canyons (PC) a lot. We only have so much space so I am looking for the recommendations for the best two kites to bring 12m or less for the best snowkiting conditions at Strawberry or ...

Re: now what's that ? salt on a board ??

I think you misunderstood me. When you are making it, the salt or sugar will dissolve in the epoxy, thats why suggest letting it set up first
