I've also got Speed 17 and 10. :D Yesterday was blowing 23 knots +, I was really overpowered, 70kg, on Speed 10, huge air but hard work. Another guy, a bit bigger than me, on Sonic 11, also overpowered. Others on 12m LEI's and a CB 12 (loving it). I've been thinking about a bow of some kind as a hi...

Sonic 11m Invert?

I was out on my 11m sonic today in about 19 - 22knots. The wind was very patchy and after misslanding a jump I sheeted out as I was partially under water and wasn't sure where the kite was. Anyway as I sheeted out a small gust hit the kite and it felt like the kite was just about to invert. I pulled...

Rockstar. Did try crossbow and still bought the sonic. Sorry to disappoint you. I'm not having a go at the crossbow so don't get your knickers in a knot. I just prefer the sonic. The difference is that the guys at my local knock my sonic without even trying it first.

I ride a Jaime pro L 05 (128/40) and weigh 90kg. I can get going in about 12 knots on my 11m sonic. I think that at 70 kg and with your two boards you will get going in 10 knots easy. I have not had my kite out in more than 20 knots but it felt like it was nowhere near its top range. I've just order...

What a load off waffle. Some people have too much time on their hands. My vote goes to BOW kites. Will they last? Who knows but shit they're good. Just ride whatever you like and stop trying to convince people that your kite is superior. The more variety the better!

My 2 cents

GK Sonic 14m

Has anyone tried this kite yet? I'm interested in hearing about its performance, ie Does it turn fast like the 11m? and what's its low end range? Does anyone know when it will be available in Australia?

Cheers

GK Sonic Quiver??

I've just bought an 11m Sonic and am very pleased with this kite. It will replace my 10, 12 & 14m C-kites. My dilema is that I still have to fly my 18m C-kite in light wind and this isn't as enjoyable as it once was. My question is will the Sonic 14m be large enough to replace those larger light win...

I've had a couple of goes on my 11m sonic now and it keeps getting better. Yesterday the wind was averaging 15 - 20knts. The kite was very powerful but easy to depower. I tried a few jumps on it for the first time and it launched me every time, even if I was going really slow. The jumps felt similar...

I just picked up my Sonic yesterday and took it out in 12 - 15 knots. I was having a little trouble getting used to the kite which is expected as with most new gear. The kite seemed to like having quite a bit of slack in the back lines in the light wind. Can anyone who has flown this kite offer any ...
