about space in a large farmhouse we're (some Boston area kites) putting together.

Re: Tug Hill Ozone Base Camp Fly In

A number of us from the Boston and DC area have booked a large farmhouse located approximately 10miles from the base camp for Friday & Saturday night. We have a couple extra spots if anyone is still looking for lodging. It should come out to about $35/night/person or less depending on how many peopl...

Re: Unbreakable board

how are you breaking the boards? I'm wearing the in over time I believe, just a lot of hard, flat landings. It's usually just a mild landing that will make them go. All 3 broke in the same spot: http://www.pbase.com/mrelliottgould/image/105584341/medium.jpg I never thought about landing flat vs lan...

Re: Unbreakable board

Thanks for the responses. I'll take a look at the above boards mentioned. A local has a used UG that he is willing to give me at a decent price. Since no board is unbreakable what are some tips to make it last longer... I'm 165lbs (75kg) and like to kiteloop (both hooked and unhooked) but I rarely g...

Unbreakable board

I'm sick of breaking boards - just snapped the 3rd one the other day (1 hammersurf and 2 litewaves)

I'm just looking for an advanced all around board that will last me more than 1/2 a season. What's out there?

Employment in Alps

I'm looking to extend my vacation by spending a month or two snowkitting in the Alps. The catch is I'll need to find some sort of work to help out with room & board. I know it's late in the season but does anyone know of any employment opportunites for a month or two starting in February. I'm not to...

you might also consider where the kite is relative to the power zone when its in certain positions of its loops. eg a loop that swings wide and outside will have a less powerful sideways and dowward pull while a stronger upswing. A loop that drives hard immediately through the PZ will have a hard f...

Ride towards it briefly to take off just a little power.... Hurts like hell when that happens doesn't it! Red hands! You mean ride towards it before I initiate the loop or initiate the loop, ride towards it a bit, then take off. I guess what I'm getting at is when should I be loading up and when sh...

Losing the bar on Kiteloops

I've been working on my unhooked kite loops all season. Sometimes they go smoothly, other times not so well. When they go bad it's usually because the bar gets ripped out of my hands about 1/2 way through the loop. Other than the obvious 'hold on tighter' does anyone have any tips?
Thanks.
