Re: epic

People can be real azzholes?! ..but why pick a guy who has put more time into this sport than 99% of you. Dimitri, hopefully won't remember, but was a teacher at a shop in HAT back in about 2000-1 and got dragged out to give a lesson to some schlub who was probably owed money by the shop ..it was ma...

Re: Anybody near A.C. NJ ..headed to HAT in May?

An old friend, Doc from Ocean Atlantic surf shop was a judge for a contest in NJ this past weekend. He snagged the board for me and surprised me with it this morning. Thanks all.

Anybody near A.C. NJ ..headed to HAT in May?

I bought a SUP from a fellow in MA ..who's headed down to A.C. to pick up a new board over the weekend. If'n - you were headed to HAT I would buy you a tank of gas to bring his old board down here. Here is Salisbury MD. My shop is at the north end of the Salisbury Bypass. I look out my window to see...

Re: Genetrix kites deserve more exposure..

Tim.. Mine is a Hydra 4.. It flys fine. #1 directly to the pigtail. http://wetstuff.com/Kites/bridle_front.JPG I got a great deal on a Ben Wilson 10 because the lady who bought it was not experienced enough to spot the steering line on one side was mis-rigged and she quietly said; ".. It's not for m...

Re: Genetrix kites deserve more exposure..

Here is something I changed that was potentially dangerous for me. http://wetstuff.com/Kites/pigtail1.JPG For the life of me?? I cannot figure why I hooked back-to-front on the Blue side ..twice in one day? Unlike my other kites where the bridle ends are quite far apart, these ends layout nearly sid...

Re: Genetrix kites deserve more exposure..

Fragger.. Yours is a V5 . Can you us the difference as you know it? A fellow from Sweden was also interested in the V5. Your colors provide a dramatic contrast. Nice. I will not touch the bridles. I assume the designers have those well sorted. I simply wanted to use another bar. I may throw it up in...

Re: Genetrix kites deserve more exposure..

Ralfs... I heard about the overflying before I launched mine. I gather you do not want to stand around and luff it. Maybe that is why it is better in smaller sizes - you are -automatically- in stronger winds. There is no time for luffing! I would also bet you that is why it goes upwind so well. Some...

Re: Genetrix kites deserve more exposure..

Fragger.. Maybe you can tell me; I cannot get an answer from GenetrixUSA** or the G-guy here on this forum.. If you hooked your line ends (the kite ends) to a fixed point ..on the typical, modern, 4-line bar/line set - the bar would come all the way back to the stop (full power) when the lines are s...

Re: Ben Wilson Noise report needed

I have a 10M. I think it's a great kite. It is clearly meant for the surf (Duh?!) .. but works fine Bayside for me. It pulls like a truck and goes big. I somewhat dispute the lack up upwind.. I didn't have a problem whatsoever. I'm 85kg and with the winds for a 10, I use a 128 UG FLX .. the little s...

Genetrix kites deserve more exposure..

I am pretty immune to extreme superlatives ..like; "First to 50." There's always someone who's going to climb K2 backwards without oxygen. (maybe it was an early lack of oxygen that gave them the idea..) But this is one helluva kite . http://wetstuff.com/Kites/Hydra1.JPG I keep hoping some small bra...
