Welcome to kitesurfing and kiteforum.com I've been windsurfing 1978-1988 and kitesurfing since 2002. My wife enjoys the outdoors and we share our passion for the outdoors cycling and walking our dog. ( she runs, but I can't anymore). My 12 year old is passionate about soccer and plays. We manage to ...

Re: Foilboard started

I bought the paper from viral surf. It doesn't have ant visible fibers. It's hard to find. You have to tape it to regular print paper to run it through the printer. Keep building, stick with resins and materials you are comfortable with. It's mostly about knowing your materials. I've tried a few epo...

Re: Moses 2018

I have the 325 too and used it last season for 5-8 sessions. It has less yaw and roll stability making ride more agile, but more difficult to control. It works with the 550 and 548. I have not tried it yet with the 590.
I found it was better at speed and was less pitch sensitive.

Re: Foilboard started

Your board looks already laminated and fill coated. To paint your board you should sand it smooth and then use 2 component polyurethane paint over as final coating. It is very difficult and requires spray booth and spray equipment to get pro finish.

Re: Foilboard started

Hi, My boards are laminated with either clear resin or a resin tint to get color. The blanks are white. The black stripe is the carbon. This pocket board i had problems with carbon fibre getting onto the white rails. So after laminating deck, I painted the rail black with a paint called Montana Gold...

Re: Moses 2018

I sold my 548 to skiidpow. All the way from Sweden to Colorado. talk about global community. Thanks to kiteforum.com. I'm now on 590 and 550. 590 is like a kite size smaller. But man that 550 is sweet, it's a magic design for powered Freeriding. 590 is good for lighter and smoother days. Going to pr...

Re: Going from Short Mast to Long mast Advice

OP says: "It seems when I try the Long mast that when I dive the Kite the drag/resistance seems much different than w the short mast. Obviously it’s more surface area and more rigid?? I don’t seem to be able to go very far before I fall and it seems like my Speed w Board flat on water is way slower ...

Re: Going from Short Mast to Long mast Advice

To be clear. If you can't taxi and get going on the run-way, your not going to lift off. Surface riding is a key skill to have.

Re: Going from Short Mast to Long mast Advice

I'm 75 hours into it and flying around easily. But a year ago I was still surface riding. It takes some time, and spending 2-4 sessions just learning to ride on surface, in control, keeping up wind, us worth the effort. It gives you confidence. You have to be able to taxi on the run-way before take ...

Re: Hyperlink size recommedation

I've had a couple sessions on my HL 9m ultra light now and all I can say is wow. I'm 65 kg and ride a mhl lift on a medium dwarf craft with 28m lines , it's not my first foil kite but the first on the hydrofoil . Is was out in 12kts of wind and the first thing I noticed is tons of power when I dove...
