Re: Straps or strapless poll

Peter,

I think you have to distinguish between straps and hooks. Hooks I use only to help water starts ( laziness), then I am out of them while riding ( strapless).

Re: Moses 2018

Thanks I know, meant to get to whole Ondo/633 kit with fuse & stab for the 633 not sure if it would fit, different size fuse for the 633. Hole spacing fits. Stabilizer shape doesn't fit exactly. I'd be more interested in mounting 633 directly to a mast and riding stabless Pitch stability on 633 set...

Re: flying foot switch - advice needed

Imagine if humans were three legged... Then foot switch would have been not a problem at all. On a related note, imagine how easy strapless water start would have been if humans had three arms... I'm telling you: that almighty being has either no respect for our hobby/sport, or his "intelligent des...

Re: Tips for learning to ride toeside

I think the touchdown carve to toe is a good step I think I might have said this before, but I only did a couple of those and they were unsuccessful. I quickly discovered that if you just keep carving upwind until you're almost at a stop and about to stall, you can redirect the kite to the other si...

Re: Moses 2018

Tom Tom, Yes, I would go for the 633 set up with new fuselage and 483 stab to komplement the 550. The 590 is great, but 633 is better for next step. It will cost 800€, the 590+330 is probably 400€. Had a great session this evening in 5-6ms on it with a 13m Sonic 2 kite. A great combination! What a s...

Re: Moses 2018

Tom Tom, Good luck on Gotland. You'll have to dedicate yourself to learning on that set up. But you can do it! Board is nice and stable. The 590/330wing will be way easier. You should look to getting that setup Asap. Those other wings will still be fun later on. You will not regret getting the 590 /...

Re: Lets discuss ear protection

I think you should try the Stanley self molding ones. I molded some new ones and was careful to use a bit less of the material, and not push it into ear canal. So they mostly just sit in the outer ear and only slightly into ear canal. This keeps water out, let's some sound in.
Super comfortable.

Re: New foil kite in a hail storm

Ikea Bag. The blue ones. Wrap a line around the outside of it.
I used to do this for side launch of LEI.

Re: New foil kite in a hail storm

I’m sorry that is a crazy way to try and self land! If you have a tether / stake what is wrong with flying to the edge of the window right next to the ground, pulling back lines / brake line to get it right on the ground, keeping back lines under tension and then just ambling over and laying it out...
