Re: One strut kites - which the lightest of them all?

I have North Mono 12-9-7 and they work good for foiling and surfboard. The 12: if I can fly it, it will get me up on foil. It flys in really light wind.

Re: fuselage fabrication

Thanks guys. I could do this: Take a 680mm long 20mmx18mm tube and insert a 300mm 18x16mm tube into it as re-inforcement for the front wing and strut connection. This is the tube i would buy- its my normal supplier- but i might be able to find another source- woven-finish-carbon-fibre-tube-20mm-17mm...

Re: fuselage fabrication

Ok thanks. That's 60E for 3 tubes. If I go to 2 tubes I get down to about 40E. My plan was to 3d print a spacer between the cylinder fuse and the aluminum mast. Both surfaces are accurate so easy to do. And I could just embed some stainless inserts into the filked carbon tube and screw the wings to ...

fuselage fabrication

Hi, While I'm working on designing a wing to fit my moses fuselage, which is somewhat driving the design, I am starting to think about just making a fuselage and bonding the wings to the fuselage and attach it to a standard aluminium strut. What do you think of the idea of using standard carbon tube...

Re: Carbon Tow

Have you considered buying the 1m wide UniD at 100g and slicing off stripes? Will that get past?
It's easy to cut with a razor blade. Much cheaper too.

Re: Moses 2018

I'm pretty sure the wing on the ghost whisperer is not the 550 wing, but the 558.
Moses wings have this progression: 590-548-550-558-637.

Off topic now, but Peter, I'm not Scandinavian or Swedish. I grew up in Los Angeles and moved to Sweden 34 years ago in May. I came here for the low taxes, fantastic climate and high paying jobs.... :o

Re: Moses 2018

Hej Peter,
No wind this weekend, really busy at work, preparing for going to Tokyo for work Jan 24- feb1. Won't be motivated Feb 3-4 with jet lag and then leaving feb9.

Maybe on a trip I'll do some foiling in Japan...
