I agree with Peter Frank...........I fly a 10m switchblade with a spleene door in very very light wind and am usually the only one staying upwind.....I believe the smaller kite works much better... (for me)....I weigh 175lbs... I found the smaller kite turns much faster so I can keep the kite moving...

I ride a Switchblade 10 in nearly non-existent winds and have NO problem staying upwind and usually being the ONLY one upwind when others are out on 16's or larger...I just use a Spleene Door and then as wind gets stronger I just switch to smaller board....This combo works for me, but others may hav...

I have to add to my post that I personally love my switchblade....but the guys at my beach swear by their Helix kites and they shred.....soooo...to each his own..... 8) KP

I still use my trainer 2m kite when it is really light for fun and showing non-kiter friends kite control........but what really is nice is I use it as a wind indicator. It gives me the info on when to rig my bigger kite and get on the water. I can read the gusts, lulls, and wind shifts....... and w...
