Re: Stalling 10m Evo 2021

I’m not sure which bar is being used, but duotone does not have adjustment knots on the line ends or the kite. The click bar comes with a set of pig tails differing 5cm in length to adjust for front rear line difference. Trus bar has the adjustment knots inside the tip of the bar. Just open the cap...

Re: Deciding on first Big air kite

As mati said: 1. If you want to get into looping: Orbit, Nitro, Harlem 2. If you just want to boost bigger than everyone else: Edge, XR, Rebel (Rebel also loops pretty well in the smaller sizes these days) The Orbit had a bad front stall problem in the 2020 and 2021. It was tolerable in 2022 and be...

Re: Who runs the GKA

If not a live stream, then video of full heats at the end of the day. A recap of couple minutes the next day showing only very few athletes and tricks is a bit poor.

Re: Big air trend

From 20 to 30+ meters it has helped a lot that the gear has improved and made it better to ride in control with bigger sizes in stronger winds. This big sir kite improvement has also made it possible for us mortals to jump higher. Also the transition in big air from C kites to current big air style ...

Re: Duotone Evo vs Evo SLS - Decision support

I always though that lighter frame kite would handle gust better as it has less inertia to move back and forth edge of the wind window so it sit where it needs to be depending to wind speed and gust. It is not the weight. It is the structural stiffness. Classic Evo is softer than SLS and due to tha...

Re: Duotone Evo vs Evo SLS - Decision support

I agree to choose SLS for the available sizes. Even the classic is a bit smoother in gusts the overall feel, performance and structural stability is for me much more important. I am around 75kg. I have Evo SLS 12-9 combo and was able to ride those against my friends 11-8 all 2021s. 12-11 12 is more ...

Re: Duotone Evo SLS 2022 vs. Core XR7 in 8m for kitelooping

Thinking about getting one of these two kites, mainly for progressing my kiteloops (think boogies and late backs). Has anybody tried both in that size and can share their experience? My assumptions would be: Evo: Faster and less grunty loops, better drift when lines go slack, kite catches faster af...

Re: Dilemma, in 14m, Duotone Rebel SLS 14 or Evo SLS 14

I have not tried Evo SLS and Rebel SLS in size 14. However, when comparing other sizes Evo SLS is lighter on the bar than Rebel SLS. Evo may have a bit better low end. In high end they are about the same for normal user. The both kites jump well. Rebel has a small advantage in hangtime, but Evo SLS...
