So, the AMP 18.4 would get me (85 kg + 140 x 39 plyboard) going from 9- 15 knots then?

Eskimo Joe - What you recon is your top end with the 20.4 AMP?

I´m 85 kg and need a kite to get me up to about 14 knots but I´m not sure if the 20.4 is the way to go or if I can get away with a 18.4 since I´m lighter then you. Feel free to advise.

Yep - and the price is right up there with the others :(

approx 1500 Euros for the 24 m complete, and 1350 Euros for the 20 m.

Rockwind - The G-arcs are far to bulky to carry around. I have experiance with both "regular" foils and I now ride G-Arc. The G-arc is, in my opinion, far to bulky for the backcountry. A G-15 will take most the volyme of a 50 liter backpack. I have made foldable spars out of tentpoles so that is not...

To all you guys..

The best way to handle PMU is to ignore him. Just stick to the original question asked at the beginning of the thread and don´t bite to hook he´s handing out.

 - PMU, So now you are also a mindreader? You have no f***ing clue to what wind other people need to have fun. A beginner (like me, at kitesurfing but 3 years with kiteskiing) don´t need 20 knot of wind and jump 10 m in the air to have fun. All it takes is 7 - 8 knots just enough to get on ...

Remember that the stated wind range is for a 75 kg very good rider. That is a world of difference from 88 kg.

From my scuba days I remember there was an enormus difference if one compared the Latex seals of, for example, the "Viking" dry suits and the "Aquion" dry suit. The Viking hade much, much thicker seals and I heard about professional divers that had not changes the seals on tha "Viking HD" suit for m...
