The new "discovery" you are talking about, is nitrogen. They've been putting it in car tires forever. 99% of the people out there think it's a total scam. If you happen to be on glare ice and have an inflatable, a real good option is tying a small sandbag to an ice screw and setting it on the lead edge. This way you can run your lines out down wind, check them, walk 90 degrees from the kite, put your board/skis on, tug on the lines and your in busines...

It's all a personal pref thing. I like mine low angle and wide for stable landings and easy blind riding.

I have the 05 wlf 130 and absolutly love it. The board handles super light wind and can take really heavy winds as well. I'm 180 lbs and can stay upwind on a 17m Outrage in 9-10 mph with no problems.
