Re: Melbourne, perth, or sydney kiteboarding

Bad timing Monkey. If you're lucky you'll get some storms, but the only place with reliable wind on the east coast for the next few months is as far north as possible. Unfortunately the Great Barrier Reef pretty much stops any swell. There is a crew running wave kiting trips to the outer reef. Melbo...

Re: Pulleys... who has got the best ones.

I've got the best type of pulleys on my kites, none. If I had to use them I'd use the Ronstan Orbit 20 Block. http://www.ronstan.com/marine/range.asp?RnID=348 You run a piece of spectra through the block and through the hollow axle of the pulley, giving you a redundant safety if the axle fails.

Re: Pink Floyd or Led Zeppelin

Led Zep over Floyd any day. Bonham's beats are too good. Turn up Houses of the Holy. Mostly I'm listening to old roots reggae/ska/rocksteady Tommy McCook, Jackie Mittoo, Augustus Pablo, Lee Perry, King Tubby, The Congoes,,,,,,etc etc... maybe Calypso, Mighty Sparrow, Black Stalin, new afro or funk s...

Re: ozone sport 2007 need help with bar set up

Hi Loeuftok, The 5th line is used to support the SLE canopy of the Ozones, not as a flagging safety. It sounds like the bar might not have been modified at all. The 5th is connected so that when the trimmer is pulled in, it pulls half as much front lines as 5th line. The leash should connect to the ...

Re: Got the UG FLX, Now some tuning help

The outer inserts are for wake bindings. The position of the pads and straps is pretty much personal preference, you can adjust the width of your stance and the angle (sometimes called duck). eg. I have long legs, take the wide stance and a little bit of duck. Have a play with it, only takes a few m...

Re: Surfboard that's TOUGH!

Has anyone managed to kill an Underground Freewave?
I took one for a spin strapless recently and was very impressed, great fun to ride.
I'm looking at getting one for a surf-freeride board, currently abusing a Naish Wave 5'5", which is holding up very well considering.....

Re: Ozone tubeprogram 2009?? Any news??

It looks like this pic has a little glimpse of the new bar. You can see same cleat system and the flag out line going through the bar and up to the front lines. I only just got my secondhand 08's, but I've been promised a demo of the 09's when they're out, I'll be sure to let you all know..... Thank...

Re: Kite Mounted Camera Experience?

As far as I know the only waterproof cameras with an intervalometer (takes a photo every few seconds) are the Pentax WP series. I've used my Canon compact in a waterproof housing, too heavy and bulky, wouldn't bother. http://www.h20camera.com/camera Pentax will be releasing the W60 in August, I'd wa...
