Re: North Neo vs Cabrinha Drifter for wave/freeride

It's mainly down to personal preferences and also your weight and skill level. I find this video really good in describing the characteristics of the two kites https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNgxwMQVp1Y

Re: Mauritius - intermediate waves?

True about Manawa, it's far out and might feel intimidating just because of that if something goes wrong. The wave is very predictable so once you know how to read waves it's very safe. One option is to stay on the inside of Manawa just where the waves fade out. Best to start with is Little Reef whi...

Re: Naish Slash 2017 vr Slash 2018

First of all...I have NOT ridden any Slash yet but just received my 2018 Slash 6 and 8. I have only ridden Pivot 11 2016 from Naish. My impression by reading both user reviews and tests it definitely felt like the 2018 was worth the extra money. Being an engineer I feel that it's usually better gett...

Re: Best kite specific 3/2 wetsuit

I've been buying & using wetsuits for 30 years. Surfing, windsurfing & now kitesurfing for a total of 30 years buying & using windsurf specific, surf specific wetsuits. There's no difference except that the surf suits are better. Kitesurfing is surfing. I've never had a wetsuit wear out in any area...

Hi. Obviously I do not think my argument is ridiculous just because it is different from yours. :-) I also like learning about other viewpoints. OK, so it will be interesting to see if you can walk your talk. Didn´t say your arguments are ridiculous, the fews you have, but the WAY you argument is s...

Re: true advice on Sri Lanka, a new Brazil?

It's definitely not an awful place. The water looks a bit shitty but I'm not sure it's that bad. Many times the colour of the water is due to the colour of sand and sea bottom and it's not white sand in Kalpitya. It's gusty in the lagoon for sure but not so gusty that it's complete shit. That is exc...

Here ya go: https://kiteboarding.com/proddetail.asp?prod=ozone2011_boston_valve_red_cap Unfortunately it's the bottom part that is glued to the bladder which is dented. Fixmykites have them as spares in worst case but of course it's a bit of work replacing the whole Boston valve. kinda half assed m...

Re: Leaking Boston Valve

How did you restore the dimples on the v-bump? Very carefully. Sorry, but not willing to share this IP . As a professional kite and drysuit repair guy, I need to keep some of my methods to myself. Would be happy to offer it as a very economical repair compared to the cost of replacing the valve or ...

Re: FOne Slice reviews

Thanks Windmaker, that explains a lot your feel for MPH boards. I've already tried the Cypher 5'4 and it definitely has some magic in it compared to a traditional classic surfboard, no question about it. I can agree that there's a lot of marketing hype around the MPH boards but I definitely don't be...
