Re: Switch Helium 18m-Light Wind Kite

Any insight on the difference in turning speed and bar pressure to the Blade Fat Lady, V1?

Re: Best harness for lower back pain: Ion Apex select or Mys

Hey there, Poosibly those molded harnesses are realy good BUT I would be very hesitant to it if I live in an area that require the use of thick wetsutits or drysuits part of the year. Then the harness will certainly not fit at all. I have used the Mystic Darkrider (yes very old) and OR Session2 and ...

Re: Dynobar (sliding spreader bar)

Those of you on rope only, do you also ditch the bungee? Besides centering the hook for easy re-location, is there any reason to keep or replace the bungee? I might have given wrong impression...I use rope but didn't get rid of bungee...I wore out bungee and replaced it with elastic shock cord. I d...

Re: Dynobar (sliding spreader bar)

On one of my bars, with a very simple release mechanism, I've replaced the chicken loop with a carabiner, so I have a shorter throw. That sounds exactly like my setup. Works great for the intended use. When I pull the bar all the way down, it is about 15 cm from the sliding rope, so it is a very co...

Re: Dynobar (sliding spreader bar)

It realy depends on how long the rope is. If its to short you will get very un-balanced in the air and the CL will tend to be on either far side and NEVER in the middle (where the Original hook is).

Re: Mako King setup advice

Three 80mm fins??? Is the King even delivered with 3 of those fins. On my old King it is just one 80 mm fin and two smaller fins (dont remember the size) on the side, and of course the one 55mm fins in the nose. At my latest trip to Cape Verde I had only my Mako 150 and I tested it with the 80 mm fi...

Re: Next Gen Mako - Timeless Design

It would be something like 54 mm concave, wohooho, now that would have some bite :-)

Re: Next Gen Mako - Timeless Design

I would love a Mako 150 with the same concave RADIUS as the Mako Classic. Have you tried making one OR?

I have both a Mako 150 and a Mako King. Which ever breaks first will be replaced with the same board, love them!

Re: DIY Sliding Bar - remove the hook?

How much does a spreader bar realy cost? I mean seriously, just get one and cut the hook and your done. I did weld two small "rings" (like 5 mm diameter, one on each side) at the very end of the spreader bar just where the straps attaches to the spreader. The dyneema is fead through the small rings ...

Re: DIY Sliding Bar - remove the hook?

NO, dont attach to the spreader points, you will need the spreader bar for sure! I have tried this and the forces will squeeze your hipps like crazy. AND if you have a waist harness it is very lightly that it will squeeze you lungs so you can not breath.
