Re: finding a pin-hole in main bladder

Perhaps a tip for anyone who needs to find a hole in their bladder. We've had great success with leak finding spray which is normally used to find gas leaks. This spray is totally harmless for the kite (no chemicals what so ever) and creates bubbles a lot quicker than normal soap spray. The only dow...

Re: 2014 Best Valve Issues

The main issue they had with the 2014 twist lock ring was that the 2 moulded pieces which make the red ring where glued with a glue which didn't hold very well. Therefore many of the rings split. We know they addressed this issue and haven't heard much trouble (of course there's always the occassion...

Re: 2014 Best Valve Issues

There indeed have been some problems with the 2014 Red Rings.
If you contact the Best Customer Service i'm sure they'll provide you with a replacement, overall their warranty policy is very good.

Best regards,

Re: Orange strut valve

If you clean the bladder very thouroughly the orange valves will work 8 out of 10 times depending on the material used to produce the old bladder. That being said there is a reason there are 2 different valves with different adhesives available and the Fix Kit valve will adhere better than the orang...

Kitesurfing at Hermanus

Hey all! We're currently staying in cape town and have been riding at the kleinrivier lagoon last week with a south westerly and loved the place. We'd love to go there before we leave on monday evening but we're not sure if the spot works with ESE and SE winds? We couldn't find any reliable info on ...

Re: How to build your own custom bladder

The Laddermill project uses tons of different types of kites and tests all sorts of shapes to see what could work best. On this website you can find a small vid which reviews some of their work.

Re: How to build your own custom bladder

Love this idea! We had a few guys down in Holland playing with similar ideas such as the Laddermill project from TU delft. (Wubbo Ockels, one of the dutch space invaders is actively involved in this project. We have been helping the team from the laddermill project out with custom light weight bladd...

Re: Kite repair

We've been testing glue but it doesn't work very well as the valve base is small and you don't have enough surface to realize a proper attachement of the valve. A new stick-on valve costs between 12 and 15 euros depending on your location. You can track them down here: U-Stick valves p.s. yes i'm af...

Re: Disappointing North quality, Fuse riders check your kite

We've been seeing this kind of damage from North a lot at our customers, which are kiterepair stations throughout Europe. Unfortunately we've also seen it on different sizes so i'm pretty sure they have had multiple complains already... We've advised our customers to send a writing to North to ask f...

Australia december januari

Hey all, We (probably 3 people) are planning a trip to australia this winter. We have been to the goldcoast before and we are figuring out where to go now. At the moment the consideration is between perth area (more wind?) or the melbourne area (more other things to do?) We are heading for about a m...
