Re: naish octupus...finding the leak

I have found that the best first step to save a lot of hassle is to pump the kite up rock hard, and then put your ear up to the bladder along each of the struts and LE. It took about 5 minutes to find a slow leak in one of my torches, and was able to repair it without taking the whole kite apart.

Kiting in La Reunion

Hi All, My sister is moving to La Reunion shortly. I am trying to figure out if there is any good kiting there, and at what time of year so that I can go and "visit" her. If anyone has been, please let me know. I was thinking that if it is no good then may try Mauritius tacked onto the trip as am su...

Tel-Aviv in August

Hi All, I'd appreciate any advice. I'll be in Tel-Aviv for a week in August - I took a look at kite beaches, and am still not sure if it is worth taking gear. I thought I heard that there was a lake somewhere in Israel that had thermal winds during this time, but can't seem to find any information. ...

What happened to Adam Koch?

I remember seeing a lot of Adam Koch up until a couple of years ago what ever happened to him? He was a big inspiration when I was getting into the sport 5 years ago - it would be nice to hear what he is up to these days. One of the Kite mags should do a follow up on some of the early pioneers - I t...

Re: Who is your favourite Old School Rider?

Adam Koch all the way!

He seemed to be everywhere promoting the sport, and then just vanished off the face of the earth. Does anyone know what happened to him?

Re: Alliance - feedback from owners

SA is epic for kiteboarding. I'll second that - I went out this time last year, and loved it so much, that I had to go back again in July, and again in December. It is a long way from Vancouver, but worth every penny. Flat water out at Langebaan makes for a nice change. The toughest choice is 6M or...
