You can get Mike's Lab Race boards made in Thailand by Cobra- as it is a molded board and an exact copy of the Mike's Lab "Production" Mike Zajicek makes by hand. Weight is very close as well. Hieneken raced a board off the rack built by Zajicek and the production boards are very close in weight and...

No limit on kite size, not an issue. Foil kiteboards are different class.

Kitesurfing will race in the Olympics. IKA has a list of the board and kites registered to race on. Its a box rule, production kite and board set up. Go to http://www.internationalkiteboarding.org/ as all the info is there. Competition rules, courses, equipment, calendar of races, etc. Lots of Gebi

Yes the kite racing scene started in San Francisco and the kiters are still racing every week after work.
