Re: Vacuum pressure for sucking water out of a surfboard?

thx for the suggestions. It seems easier. Per the Board Lady, https://boardlady.com the water will not exit the board by gravity alone. I am assuming you are stating that once you cant see the water coming out if the hole that is good enough and I should just repair it at that time.

Vacuum pressure for sucking water out of a surfboard?

I am putting a vacuum set up together to extracting water from a surfboard. I am copying the Board Ladys setup. https://boardlady.com/vacuum.htm I have read that you can use too much vacuum pressure and ruin a board. I have a 1/3 HP vacuum that pulls at 3CFM. How do I regulate the vacuum pressure so...

Re: Stem Cell Treatment for Shoulder?

This is the last I’ll post on here since the thread has zero to do with kitesurfing. Pro-lifers are the single most influential reason why research has lagged behind in the US and why (if you want to full plethora of stem treatments made available) you have to look elsewhere. Go compare legislation...

Re: Stem Cell Treatment for Shoulder?

Yep, the fetal stem cell argument and blaming Prolife folks is no longer relevant. You would have to be hiding under a rock to hang onto that point. Stem cell therapy is the future. I am just hoping they SOON figure out a way to replace cartilage and meniscus instead of knees.

Re: biggest regret purchase

8m Naish Park Which year? Why? 2013. Bought it for 30kt days. It was awful, little bar throw and not much room to trim. Horrible response at the steering lines. Bar kept ejecting during aggressive loops. I think it was designed for the little menehune over there. Replaced it with an 8m RPM, no comp...

Re: Removing water from board using a refer compressor?

Can anyone point me toward where to get the black cone that is on the plastic sheeting? Is this part of a vacuum bag?

Removing water from board using a refer compressor?

I have a surf board with water in it. I have read about using a refrigerator compressor to remove the water, but I am not sure how to make the seal air tight to the compressor. As far as I can tell, it need to tape some plastic sheeting around the damaged area and it needs to be air tight. How do I ...

Re: Important Message: I almost died - Gunnar Biniasch

Hmmmm the stuff of nightmares. I think Gunnar is potentially wrong in one regard. I doubt anyone saw his crash or noticed that he was down. It's probably more of an issue on a very crowded beach. Unless you are openly looking for down kites to check and then watch the downed kite for a period of mi...
