Re: Ozone adjustable stopper bar

Perhaps it is not possible due to the fact that the depower rope is covered by a plastic tube ? You answered your own question. The plastic sheaths (without a stopper ball) are now common on 90% of the controls bars these days. Only the folks at Ocean Rodeo were smart enough to address this issue a...

Re: New Foam Pad for my Slingshot Celeritas Surfboard

Hi I am looking into the possibility of refurbishing my blue Slingshot Celeritas. The original pad is starting to look ugly and I was wondering if anyone has been able to find the original blue/green Eva pads somewhere? I have not been able to find it on the official web nor on any other web. Any s...

Re: Waist and seat harness in the same session?

I find the waist harness good for freestyle but prefer a seat harness for overpowered conditions and airtime. I have a buddy that has the same opinion and used to use both. Now he uses Mystic's hybrid harness. He's also really liking the seat option when riding his hydrofoil. https://www.mysticboar...

Re: most durable 2mm gloves

Ride Engine has the best 2mm neoprene kite specific glove (radically curves fingers) that I've found and used thus far. Durability is much better that some other kite branded gloves from my experience. YMMV

Re: Best Lightweight Versatile Surfboard

I'm looking to find a lightweight, versatile surfboard with inserts for the occasional storm ride. I'm looking for the following characteristics: lightweight, surfing up to medium waves, inserts for big, stormy days at sea, decent upwind, travel easy, friendly to share with a beginner. From the rea...

Re: Info need on kite bar

I was attracted by the cabrinha recoil because they said it's fit for the little person with small arms, which is my case. I measure 5'3 "or 162cm. Some brands have an adjustable reach like North and Duotone as examples. Once you confirm what bar can work, focus on bars with the adjustable reach. :...

Re: Info need on kite bar

I bought 2 kites BS 2009 with bar used. I'm assuming you meant two Switchblade kites? Cabrinha's 2009 Switchblades I believe were spec'ed with a front "two-line" safety system (mini-5th) up till 2013. Two-line safety systems have been pretty much phased out now, including Cabrinha's, but many (not ...

Re: F-One bar with Core kite

Can I use F-One Monolith bar 2017 on Core kite ? Better ?... Can the Monolith bar be upgraded to use the F-One Linx front line system? The Linx bar has an adjustable V option that looks like it would be perfect for a Core or Duotone kite. Go to 1:17 in the vid to see it... https://www.f-one.world/p...

Re: Wind Ranges related to kite Sizes, please share you experience!

I was just up kiting in Tahoe yesterday and another thing that's often not taken into account is elevation. I know most kiting is performed at sea level, but many kite inland lakes and reservoirs. Tahoe is at 6200' (1889m), so conditions there require rigging a bigger kite to compensate for the elev...

Re: Kiting Lake Tahoe this weekend?

I've also heard through the grapevine that if you purchase something from The Java Hut, you can park for free in their lot. I've not confirmed this though, so take caution.
