Re: Core Nexus and Nexus LW

The shape really looks like a North Neo... which I like very much. It could be interesting to compare these two kites. To me it looks like it's in between a Dice and a Neo. Marketing-wise it's going up against the Dice. It also looks a lot like the new RRD Religion MK8. Luckily we got some Core rid...

Re: Hydrofoil set under 1k?

In the US the only new set-up (2018, not NOS or something on sale) for under $1k that I could find was a combination of the Liquid Force Rocket foilboard at $449 and the Crazy Foil Jet H Pro hydrofoil at $499 (total = $948) Crazy Foil's base model Acrobatic H Pro hydrofoil retails for $399, but the ...

Re: I'll have to change my name now North Kiteboarding is no more..

I have a Duotone snowboard. It was a brand under F2 but it has been dead for some years now. I'm really struggling with the idea that the long, dead snowboard brand Duotone would want to become a "zombie brand" that now identifies itself as a kiteboarding brand. This would be equivalent to Mutiny K...

Re: I'll have to change my name now North Kiteboarding is no more..

I think the success of ION is that it has no own kite relation. Meaning that a Cabrinha rider can also ride ION. I'm sorry, but I can't imagine that Neil Pryde (NP Surf) who owns Cabrinha would ever allow their athletes to ride/use products from a major competitor to NP Surf. Please correct me if I...

Re: Researching kiteboarding locations

If you want to come out West and go all out, I'd suggest flying into Sacramento or something nearby like Stockton, or fly into SF or something nearby like Oakland and then rent a car and head out to northern California's best kiteboarding spot - Sherman Island. It's only about a 1 hour drive from Sa...

Re: Researching kiteboarding locations

I am looking for a school very near an airport on the West Coast or Texas. You might consider flying into San Francisco and taking lessons locally. There are several good lesson centers that are very close or reasonably close to the SF airport (Boardsports Cali, WindOverWater, KitetheBay, 415Kite, ...
