My understanding is that the red ball is there to prevent the bar from going further than necessary towards the kite when you eject to the safety line. Seems like you might have more potential for line tangles the closer that the bar gets to the kite, but I don't otherwise see an issue with removing...
Do you use compression bags for the kites?
No, I just fold them to fit the bag dimensions. Separately, if you look at the pics of the bag, the "top" compartment has two zippered sections, with a thin piece of nylon fabric separating them. You have to take out that piece so that you...
I use this bag from Dakine. Splits into two sections and I put the board and one kite on one side, and a second kite, pump, harness, bars and accessories on the other side. Total weight usually comes in between 45 and 50lbs, depending on how many accessories you jam in there. We have two of these se...

Anyone have experience with both the new, 4 line Rebel, and the old Fuse, and if so, do they feel similar? I had a quiver of Fuses and loved them. Kinda wondering if they didn't use the last Fuse model as a starting point for the new Rebel.
I'm in the middle of converting my quiver. Coming from 7/10/12/16 Fuse. Before that I had 8/10/14 Rise. I've already bought 7 and 9.5 Prodigy (really looking forward to these for my Gorge/OR coast trip next month). On the upper end, I'm deciding between 12 Prodigy and 14.5 Flite (which I think will ...
