Re: Woo vs Xensr

yeah that looks way off!!! There is no way the speed is right, no way you're doing 46 mph. I use a speed board and when I am hauling ass, anything over 40 it looks WAY faster than that. Also it was odd why you're going so fast when leaving the water, it doesn't make sense. Sorry. The speed on the v...

Re: Woo vs Xensr

Did you really max at 20m? That speed looks way off as well. Be interesting to see the actual Xensr GPS data log.... Normally a super high max speed is an error at just one point in the data and you can discount it. I would have thought that the Xensr software might have cleaned up data errors. Any...

Re: 2015 Shinn Boards Released - Anyone tried them?

The Bronq feels very smooth through chop. It has a bit more rocker (from memory) than the Dundee which really helps. The carbon construction doesn't make it especially stiff or clattery, it just has a super quick reflex so it's returning from being flexed faster than a regular glass construction. Th...

Re: Airush smartbar Y split

Yeah I don't think the height of the Y will affect the back stall much.

Check your lines are the same length at full power. If they are, and it still back stalls, try tying a knot closer to the end of the rear kite pigtails where the steering lines attach, that should fix it.

Re: What do people think of the 2014 airush varial x?

The VX seems to be a 'development' kite for Airush where they can try out new ideas. It doesn't evolve gradually, like a switchblade or a bandit, but changes fairly radically from year to year. The 2014 kite was probably the most advanced, forward flying and freestyle oriented version. I thought it ...

Re: Larger wings for larger guys.

What variation is there in surface areas of different wings? I had a quick look at the dimensions on the Sroka against the Moses fr425 front wing. I won't put numbers on it because I wasn't being that accurate, but the Sroka wing is about a quarter larger in projected flat area than the Moses. From ...

Re: Horue H13 is now available - Awesome price for a CF Foil

After learning on the Sroka Alu, I'm looking to get a freestyle/freeride foil myself. I asked Horue by email for more details on the H13 and board, all they say in the reply is that there is a long waiting list and I must pay and preorder, but no indication of when I can expect delivery, not even an...

Re: Female board recommendations please!

Check out the Airush Diamond, my better half Lu seems to prefer it to the toyboys that she's been on for a couple of years... Try Wes at constantly kiting for one. If you see him say hi from the Solent Sailboards crew ;)
