Re: Best split boards 2016

I have been the owner of 2 New Wind twin tip split boards (rewind.net), italian custom split board for 4 years now. Travelled all over the world with me, no problems. Carbon fiber (weight boards only 2.1 Kg) , screws don't come loose even after a day of kiting. I definitely recommend it! PS: they ha...

Re: Rotator Cuff Calcific Tendinitis:rehab and calcium remov

I did a session of shockwave treatment and got rid of it. Google it but it is basically an ultrasound "hammer" applied to your shoulder for about 15-20 minutes and it works as I did also for my plantar fasciitis ( I am a long distance runner) and solved that too...a bit expensive...

Re: Slingshot Sports Introduces 2014 Kite Line Up

I couldn't agree more! I hope the people @ Slingshot listen to the users as they are making great stuff ( I have been using and appreciated them, with other brands, for 10 years now..) and don't need to sound ridiculous as their marketing people are making them sound...nice improvement for 2014 whic...

Re: splitboard - newind

I have 2 newwind split board 130-40 (one for me and one for my GF) and we use to travel around SE ASIA where there are some challenging restrictions on weight and dimensions at times (see Boracay..). The board is really strong, and navigates well, has a single slight concave with squarish tips and i...

Re: Slingshot Misfit vs Slingshot Asylum

I would like to ask if anybody has actually put the board (or maybe you can do it now? :) ) on the scale to check how much does it weigh. I had a Lunacy 2010 that I loved but SS boards tend to be on the heavier side (2.6/2.8 Kg for board only and 1 Kg more for board + fins & pads/straps). I was wond...

Re: Finless

It is actually a fun thing to try, but if you find it too challenging for you then I suggest you use only 2 fins on your board making sure you put them on the heel side (basically behind your heels.. :) )
Have fun in Sri Lanka is a great place!

Re: Do you keep track of your sessions?

I think is a good idea for different purposes: from simply tracking number of sessions to progression , record special events, pictures and other data. I use "kite session" APP for iPhone and I keep synthetic reports of every session with pictures and notes (wind, kite size, time etc). It's fun to l...
