One thing I have done with this kite is to drop my kite line length. As with any big kite I find shorter lines gives the kite a bite more speed. I use 23m lines on my 16 and find it feels a little more lively.

Just was trying out the 16 in light air and I would say I can get the bottom end similar to a North Rhino2 18. It has much more low end than the North R2 16 and may just match the 18. I was flying the bar against a stopper to get the best low end as if you just use a fully depower setup I was not ex...

1999 started on a Peter lynn water foil with handles that I managed to develop a control bar with a form of safety. I thought up to 2002 kiting was a real family thing and everybody was focused on the same thing of kiting and having fun with safety. Now we have issues about flat V's C or if I grab m...

I just bet theirs someone who thinks they have.

Then I bet theirs someone who believes them.

Most kiters find it hard to know the difference between 15 or 20 knots.
Thats some strong wind on that metre.

Thats a old post by me back in the good old days when it was a sport that was a lot more friendlier and everyone looked over each other. Today sadly very few if any local kiters use this beach any more and it's mainly used by new kiters and safety is lacking with no more organised group of kiters tr...

I just had a session on a 14 Torch 11 thought I would share my experience. I'm a super heavy weigh at 120kg 5+ years kiting on a 138x40 board wind was gusty 15 - 22 knots in small choppy water. I'm old school style rider so I care about speed, jump height and hang time but I do like lots of good thi...

So refreshing to see a wave being hit hard at speed with nice simple big air and not being used as a non whip ramp for a kite loop handle pass. Not that theirs anything wrong with wake but when the air is fast and their's some good waves may as well go big and take oxygen. These bow kites do seem to...

So is the new R6 the old R2 modified with some of the new features like relex battens, 5th line and camber battens. You say the turning speed is almost the same but it has less downwind pull this sounds like the 5th line is doing this rather than a change in the design. One of the things that stoped...

I does look like a new dimension to kiting in the waves. Dam looks better than pole boarding in the surf. These things in a few years will be the ducks nuts.
