Re: Difference between kite surfboard and a regular surfboar

Hi,

The shapes are almost identical, but the construction can be different. With kitesurfing you will jump and slam some waves very hard, so if you have a surfboard that can handle the hit, you are good to go.

Re: Le Gallion soon to be no kiting?

Update: I went last weekend there to kite and there is still no ban and I've understood from another kitesurfer that a petition was sent to the government for this non-sense ban. So in the meantime, kitesurfing is "legal" until this issue is settled. This spot is one of the best spots that I've kite...

Re: Le Gallion soon to be no kiting?

They want to pass a law to ban Kitesurfing at Le Gallion.
Surfers and Windsurfers will have the beach for themselves.

Re: Info St. Martin / St. Maarten wanted...

Hi, You can also launch at the viewpoint by Le Galion, so you don't have to ride all the way to the flat beach side. So when you leave Westin, just take to road to the French side and then you will some horses by the beach. you keep driving till you see a view point where you can see the whole Galio...

Re: Aruba in October?

Hey, Just check the weather forecast a few days before you go. I've been there a few times in September and October and had good and bad days. It really depends if there are Hurricanes or Tropical Storms in the area, which will suck the wind out form Aruba. So bring two kites: a big one and a "norma...

Re: Which Best 09 Kite - 13m Waroo or 12m Nemesis

Hi, I have both kites (10m Nemi) and indeed there is a difference between these kites. If you are just starting freestyle tricks, you can check the Nemi; it has a good pull. I use my Waroo for waves, since I can leave it at one position and focus on the wave riding. As soon as you get used to the Ne...

Re: what size kite should i get

Yeah.

A bow or SLE 11/12m will be good enough for you. And you can then check 2 boards. One for light wind/ wave and another twintip for higher winds.

good luck...

Re: 2009 Kite Prices

Hi, The best advice that I can give is to wait. Oil prices and euro are going down and by mid next year, the kite companies will have overstocks and will sell them cheap. Now, the prices are ridiculous high, and as someone else said before, your current quiver can still be used. I have only 2007 & 2...

Re: 12 airush reactor 2006, worth it?

Hi,

The reactors are very fast kites and if you are going to use it only when it's more than 15 knots, you have yourself a good deal.
As soon as you know how to control that beast, you are good to go....

Good luck.
