screws into frozen ground too (better if its a heavy clay rather than a sandy loam)

Just a quetion for tplowe56; are you guys in Minnesota more stoked for winter than for summer kiting?

I'm in Manitoba, can't wait for the snow to fly!!!!

On snow 40 knots is nuts. 20 knots is a handful 10 knots is sweet 5 knots works pretty good too a 9m (ram) will kill you in 40 knots the best 9m (so they say) depowerable ram; Ozone Frenzy. I think the point was that you don't need to lug a tonne of gear around and flaunt it like your some beach toy marvel.
If I compare what I used to do windsurfing to what I can do now kiting plus toss it in the trunk I'm stoked.

short lines are safer too because they use up less space
if you crash the kite (15m lines)your effected area is a lot less (30m lines)

nothing against the strength of the lines, but I've cut the sleeving in several places (kite and flying lines).
