Re: Average age of kiters in your area

william-rx7, I respect you for the articulate explanation you have provided, but you're missing one critical factor....kitesurfing isn't a cool sport for the kids anymore. It was, 10 years ago, the coolest, most aspirational sport of all. Now, it's overall, an old man's equipment obsessed sport, ful...

Re: Death of our Kiteboarder friend Lestiano in Cumbuco!!

thank you for posting that Windsuks...

it takes the focus away from character judgments being made from 1000's of miles away, to the truth of the sad death of a young man.

Those photos are touching.

Re: So... whose watching the america's cup races?

Hi Bob....do you know how may American's were crewing? At last count, 1 (one). How many NZ'ers? 7, at last count. Not bitter, but just sad that NZ couldn't pull this off against immense\effectively infinite wealth. Fair dues, Oracle ourtsailed us comprehensively, and were sporting throughout, they d...

Re: "Dawn Patrol" & Other Stupid Sayings...

I believe "Dawn Patrol" is an expression which comes from the world of surfing. Getting up at 5 am, patrolling down the coast line in search of the perfect and empty wave. no, it comes from the title of the Don Winslow novel, but it's referred to surfing early in the morning, since the guy is a for...

Re: Using your kiteboard for wakeboarding

You'll have loads of fun once you get used to things....which really shouldn't take long at all. Kiteboards are just fine for having fun on behind a boat, they're just inferior compared with a wakeboard. Slow down, relax, 18-20 mph is a much more user friendly speed at the start - it also allows you...

Re: whats wrong with people these days?

Aside from losing gear of true value, the worst thing to have ganked is your flip flops. They can keep my $10 pump.................don't leave me bare footed to walk across the sand spurs and broken glass. Poacher - flip flops are a nuisance...but my "favourite": going for a mid winter surf, nobody...

Re: Another RyanAir Robbery

A reminder to anyone thinking of traveling with RyanAir Robbers... My gf Just booked us flights to Malaga, Spain from Liverpool, UK. Flights were only £70 but one sports bag up to £20Kg is an extra £100. That's the most expensive cost for a sports bag I've paid on any flight anywhere in the world. ...

Re: Best Kahoona - don't recommend for beginners

Yep, not trying to start a scrap here - and I take these comments as constructive. My first thought with the kite was, wow, either these line lengths are completely screwed with seriously short back lines, or this kite has been through the school ringer and somehow has become completely bent out of ...
