I think the secret for relaunch is patience.........if you can get the kite on it's trailing edge - even a waterlogged kite can launch.

Landboarding we always tethered the kites ....mind you the older flysurfers were great wil the real line brakes. Hook your leash into the stake and the kite would stay there all day long. Phsycho 3's are good for this as well as the had the Oh shit handles.....never had to try with the newer speeds ...

I have a mastair 12 and 16 in the garage, I weigh 69 Kg and in 14 mph wind I have to be helped getting to the beach with the 16 Mastie - the static lift on that this is nuts. The bar is enourmous !!!

I still ride a 2006 Psycho 3 8 mtregularly

Windmaker.......that is /was Fokitens method..which he drove people nuts about. Funny thing is I still remember it even though at the time I never used/owned any inflatable kites (Flysurfer only for nearly 10 years)

I remember once whilst riding a speed 1 thirteen and wind was fairly light - 10 - 11 knts - a chap had one of the early ozone tubes leading edge down in the water. It just wouldn't relaunch - so I dropped the speed in the water - tried to help him turn the kite (no luck) - so reverse lauched the spe...

I had a go on this device about a year or so ago - Mellow electric skateboard . Retrofits to any existing board - has a 10-15 km range and can so 30-40 km hr. and is ligt. uses frictionless motors in the wheels and li ion batteries
