take kite down at 90 deg as when you do an assisted landing then backstall whilst moving - into wind - much softer - practice in light winds

If you are perpendicular to the kite - you can gently raise the downwind tip....you can control the inflation ....you can then move more ito wind and the kite will inflate faster and lift off. I sometime sit down in high winds then to control downwind drag Ensure the upwind tip is well sanded. I alw...

18 years of Leis........It took me 13 years to buy my first inflateable........and tehn I only use them when it's very windy

15 years for me - bought my first Flysurfer in 2002 ( a Maniac 7) to landboard with and got wet in 2003.....Sill riding Flysurfer

Funny my lightwind board is a spleene session which is 141 x 43 - good for a couple of knots lower wind (I am only 70 kg though)

AS Discussed on the foil forum - Get an Ikea bag - fill with stones /or sand from beach - attach a caribiner to it -leave on the beach (I hadn't thought of this have have used poles and Groynes to attach to before) Fit O - S handles on the steering lines of teh kite - my psycho3's came with them. Nah .t's not a problem as when braked - kite just wants to sit on it's trailing edge - With older flysurfers it was great - you'd throw the bar and the kite would drop onto it's trailing edge - teh only issue would be that in high winds there would still be quite abit of pull - but if you can tether...

Used to do that all the time when I landboarded - either a large screw driver or dog walkers spiral stake - It was easier in those days as the old Flysurfers(psycho1, mastair etc) would sit on their trailing edge whilst on leash. Newer ones Chicken loop and OS handles
