Re: Tenerife beginner spots

Just come back from El Medano
Shorty wet suits required
Best hotels within walking distance are Playa Sur (right on the beach) or Hotel Medano (in the town)
I've stayed at Hotel medano a few times and it's a great spot if you dont mind wrestling with the oldies at mealtimes

Re: One Year in OZ

I spent 6 weeks aound Perth area about 2 years ago. The biggest shock was how expensive everything was. We rented a hire car and stayed on campsites usually in challet's North of Perth is very barron, the further north you go the less there is. Some good kiting spots all the way up the coast, we wen...

Re: Say thank you to SS Kitedesigner

I agree with Agio, 4 metres between sizes in too big and 2 metres is too small.
3 metres is the perfect size gap between your kites (most companies are doing it now)
ie 12m & 9m or 11m & 8m

Re: The End of the REV - does anybody else find it sad?

The gap between the struts in the middle looks really big. The rev had an unstable top end in gusty winds so taking away the middle strut is surely going to make the canopy more unstable ? What about when it goes face down in the water, no central strut to stop it rolling back on itself ? Time will ...

Re: rpm 8 vs rev 9

The Octane will replace the Rev2 not the RPM

The 9m Rev goes well with the 13m
I use mine from 18 knots upward (85 kg)

Slingshot Rev and Rev2. Is there any performance difference

I know the Rev 2 has 3 rear line attachment points and stronger LE seams but is there any difference in the performance or wind range of the kites ????

Re: Post your light wind kiting minimum. Wind: Kite: Etc:

I think all this 6 to 8 knots stuff is bullshit
You can bearly feel that wind strength on your face never mind kite in it.
Below 12 knots you can forget I.M.O.

Re: Better low end Nobile T5 137x42 or Spleene Rip FT 136x42

I've only used the 137 T5
Very nice board, so smooth
At your weight it would definately work well as a light wind board.
Does everything well, great value for money
