totally different styles for sure but why do you need for one to be better? Most kitesurfers want to compare it to surfing yet in surfing their are long boards, shord boards, tow in, SUP and all sorts of different breaks they all have different styles yet are all cool.

If you want to jump hight I would go with somthing like the stretch peter trow 5 ft twin tip construction directinonal. you are going to have to really make a pure surfboard heavy to survive high jumps also the landings are hard. why take the time to bash someone elses rideing style( I mostly ride unstrapped) I would call it a backside inverted arial very nice.

I always launch kite toward water. I am usually at a very sketchy launch I leave the kite low and body drag out if their is a problem you can alway just steer the kite back into the water if it is low and draging you out.

I think the problem with straps on a board over 5'6" is that you need to move around to trim the board properlly. Your best bet would to measure the strap placement on a board with inserts like the slingshot sst. These boards seam the put the straps in a nice compermise position. If you rode the sam...

I have been rideing strapless and I mostly ride the 7 I see no reason for anything bigger than a 11 with a surfboard. I do se a need for a 5 when it blows over 35 I will ride 5 7 11 revs next year with a big and small surfboard

yes the mako wide fits in the nsi deciever. It takes a little wiggling but you can get it in their with a couple of kites and a bar and still make airline weight.
