Re: April May Best consistent breeze

I'm going to South Padre Island today (if my American Airline flight takes off)

It's been very windy there (from what I can tell)

I will let you know once I get there how it is....

Re: 2007 Rebel Depower

So if I wanted to increase my de-power I should put the throw back to default?
I guess it's worth a try.

I would like to know if other Rebel riders made the adjustment (as I ) or did most keep it stock.

Re: Learning to Kite Loop... Advice please

So, if I am going downwind and I want to loop the kite (without jumping) should I loop the kite towards 1 oclock (right hand pull) of loop the kite towards 11 oclock (pull with the left hand)

If I'm not jumping does it matter?

2007 Rebel Depower

When I got my 12m & 9m 2007 Rebels, the first thing I did was to shorten the throw to the next color (think it is red?) as per some really good Rebel riders. Anyway, as I understand it, this will give me slightly less de-power... Can you help me to understand this better, and is this a good thing to...

Learning to Kite Loop... Advice please

I will be going to South Padre Island later this week and want to work on learning some tricks. One of the first things I want to work on will be kite loops.
So far I get the impression I should start trying them going down / off the wind so the force / pull will be less,

What say you?

Thanks

Rich

Re: Swell info for South Padre Island?

Right you are Big Dave... Only people from Nor Cal can truly understand how I can opt for the warm water and small waves as opposed to big knarly surf and frigid waters of the Northern California Coast. Yes I thought of taking a local trip in my camper to the coast but am really looking forward to t...

Re: Swell info for South Padre Island?

Alan,

I totally understand and I am going mainly to get good wind, warm water, flats (to work on my jumps and tricks) and yes I want to ride the Gulf waves if even to just play around in them...

I just want to know more about the area.

Kite Repair

This is a big "Shout Out" to all a Air Time Kite Repair... :thumb: Ok, they did charge an "arm and a leg" but I still feel the need to let others know just how pleased I am with the repairs, workmanship, turn around time frame and organization. Let me tell you, after a day at Folsom a couple of week...
