Re: Seat harness for Hydrofoiling. Which are you using and why?

Just updated my seat harness after 12 years. Bought the same one again. Ion echo with rope slider, previously or if you want to spend extra for the identical product was the north performer seat harness. Super comfortable does everything and you can wear it loose which no waist harness can ever do. ...

Re: 2018 Naish Slash

Personally I think the Pivot is the best kite in existence...so top 1 for me, but I have not tried all kites. :thumb: I second this! I did get a chance to ride the new slash. I think it would be good if I got more used to it. For me i'm moving into full on foiling. Supposedly wave kites are excelle...

Re: Chinese KB Hydrofoil : 300 USD + shipment

Just to get this back on track. This is all I have as of yet. The seller is gluing the mast plate on the mast strut. Still waiting for it to leave china stuck in customs. Looks like they took care when gluing instead of slopping it together like i would problably do as I have no experience with comp...

Re: Any self taught out there?!

Yeah pretty much self taught long long ago when safetys were questionable. I know that lessons aren't an option for everyone especially in rural areas. I'd say on snow would be the easiest to self learn. Water you really should get some advice from an experienced rider or at the very very least have...

Re: Chinese KB Hydrofoil : 300 USD + shipment

Yeah I don't know what happened was expecting amazon type website and felt like i just left a whore house. Paypal certainly is an option if the seller sets it up that way. I was hoping that was the case but it wasn't. Cards western union or cash. Their was another function I almost went for and that...

Re: Chinese KB Hydrofoil : 300 USD + shipment

hehe jumping in on the fun finally pulled the trigger. Word to the wise. literally i signed up to aliexpress just to purchase this. Be patient and get ready for the ride of your life trying to buy something there. I'm sure most of you are experienced with the process. But for those of us that are no...

Re: Chinese KB Hydrofoil : 300 USD + shipment

tegirinenashi I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on the JNJ. I've repeated asking about getting the mast and the baseplate glued prior to shipping with adverting answers. As a total newbie with composites whats the procedure for fusing the 2 pieces together I've read this entire thread 4 times an...

Re: Aftermarket/3rd party wings

300$ the prices right now is almost cheaper to buy the entire foil setup then a set of wings. Even at 300 they should be like 150 for both front and rear. I've been trying to find wingsets everywhere as would love to try different ones. Was told the foil fish was not compatible with any newer style ...

Re: Hindenburg

Ejecting the kite would suck when I'm near shore, since the kite might come down on shore (where people may be unaware of what's happening Hmm gusty shifty winds that are straight onshore with other people around sounds more like maybe not the best time to go out if it were me. How shallow is it? c...

Re: Hindenburg

I found that if i hit the release when it begins the fall it sorts itself out 60% of the time. Otherwise if you know what to do a barflip is possible and has saved me from going back to shore. When it goes out on the front line you can pull on the leash really fast and initiate the safety faster as ...
