Re: Any paragliding pilots around here?

Being a PG pilot in the EU. Not for me any more. To many good people lost, ppg and pg, one of the best did not see an unmarked power lines. Enough said. Saw the same thing here too! The guy next to you in training with the wife and small children might not have a dad from one mistake! It certainly ...

Re: Any paragliding pilots around here?

As a former paragliding pilot. If I could do it all over I would probably pick PPG for many reasons. Number 1 is flight time. go whenever you want as long as its early morning or nearing glass off evening time as you progress I'm sure running midday and thermaling would also be an option. As far a k...

Re: Foiling - only for frequent riders or occasionals as well

I’m getting curious about foiling and seek the advice of those who have tried and liked it, and those who haven’t 1) Wanted to know whether the effort and expense would pay off for the occasional rider? 2) Is it really for those who go regularly? 3) Relative to starting with a TT, is it significant...

Re: How often do you get chased by dogs?

I had a mutt long ago literally run up and bite my brand new kite first time. Some surgery in a hotel room got it going again. Owner said he'd pay for the damage never did. If your kite is in the air its safe and probably funny but when launching they don't understand and try to nip and bite at it. ...

Re: WMFG Pump issue?

I had the new black hose break on my pump thankfully it was right at where it comes out of the pump. Just wiggle and screw it back on. The white hose is complete trash toss it and get the updated version. I would gladly pay an extra 10-20 $ to see a true rubber hose like on air hoses etc or the flex...

Re: Can I use 2015-2017 Ozone Contact Water Control Bar with Naish kites

-the front and back lines are very different lengths which forces you to buy line sets only from North. This is true for replacement lines which most buy new gear rather then replacing linesets they are expensive but all brands are a centerline replacement kit is around 91$ . the lines are still al...

Re: Can I use 2015-2017 Ozone Contact Water Control Bar with Naish kites

Would 2016 North Trust Bar Quad Control (https://www.calikites.com/product/2016-north-trust-bar-quad-control/) also work with the Naish kites? Certainly will! I'm using this bar on my pivots. North makes the best bar on the market. I like the naish bars but they are not anywhere near the caliber ba...

Re: LE bladder wear by elastic bladder retainer inside tip (Ozone)

If the pump does not have a filter then if you pump up where there's fine sand/dust/grit being carried by the wind it can be pumped into the bladder. Thanks good advice I always try to blow a few pumps to clear anything and also will blow on the connector (if you have the updated boston specific sc...

Re: LE bladder wear by elastic bladder retainer inside tip (Ozone)

Sand grains pose no threat when pumped up. although problably bouncing around while flying. its when you fold it pack it and let the air out, lay on it to fit the bag. they are abrasive and will for sure create pinholes. The new fast inflation systems allow this to happen as before i never ever had ...
