Re: Total beginner advice

Hi Justkite......I'm a dealer, but get a chance to ride and evaluate a lot of foils. In all my years of being in business, making a recommendation for a foil to start is one of the easiest recommendations. Kites? Tons of choices. Hard to choose sometimes. Foils? Slingshot is killing it. Easy choice ...

Re: choice - (MHL) Lift NF2 vs. (LP) Silencer NF2 vs. Ghost Whisper

Grigory.....I'm hoping to have a Ghost in OBX for our trip and you can try it then. I rode the Silencer last year quite a bit and it just wasn't balanced properly no matter what I did with shims and kept going back to the Hoverglide anyway. The Hoverglide was just as fast and having multiple masts r...

Slingshot Phantom Foil kite

No info yet being released, but just saw this post.

As a dealer, I'm trying to get some intel, but nothing yet. Should be interesting.

Re: GoPro views

It depends on what you are trying to achieve and see in your vids. If it's just basic riding and nothing special, wider views are fine, but get redundant after a while. Strut mounts are my lest favorite due to a small subject. If you want to show specific moves or details. then line mounts show the ...

Re: Kite sweet point elevation (beginners)

Absolutely 100% spot on. A kite being flown higher in the sky when learning is much more forgiving than a powered up lower kite. Especially if you are still falling while trying to foil. It's much easier to ditch the board when falling with a higher kite than a lower kite. If you can handle edging r...

Re: Any of you only ride 17 tube kite foilboarding ?

I'd ride a 17m Blade Fat Lady last year quite a bit when the winds were perfect, but this year it's been stronger most of the time or no wind at all. A 17m kite will work just fine, but it's only a good choice when it's light of course.
