Re: Contour Roam2 Review

Mine was on a self adhesive rotating helmet mount. The mount was tethered but it was the rail on the waterproof case that failed - the yellow plastic rails were pulled off the housing. Fixed with some superglue and now tethered using the tripod screw.

Re: Contour Roam2 Review

I can confirm the contour roam does float in the waterproof case. Mine was ripped off in a huge wipeout and i have an hour of footage of it floating. It washed up on the beach and i found it about 2hrs later. Looking at the footage it floats ok but is hard to see as its only the lens thats above the...

Re: Review of Shinn Dundee 44 - Whoa!

I am heavier than you @ 92kg or 202lb and went from an 09 x-ride 135 x 39 to the 135 x 44 shinn dundee. The botton end is much better and the top end is just as good.

I have been out on my 9m and been way overpowered and not once has the board felt too big

Re: Wainman Rabbit`s 2.0

Fantastic kites that have served me well for over 3 years. I use them with both a twintip and a surfboard. They are built to last and i have not had to replace parts but i do have spare bridles for my 3 sizes. Keep the back lines tight and they are good in gusts. When they do fall apart they will be...

Re: Wainman Smoke 9m

I have been using Wainman kites for just over 3 years. Its the longest i have ever kept my kites but they are so good i dont plan on changing them until they fall apart and die. They have a good range , dont mind gusts ( keep the back lines tight ) and just do everything well. Relaunch is instant an...

Re: Shinn Monk 2012 or Dundee...seeking advice

I am the same weight as you and after a demo i have ordered the 135 x 44 Dundee. I am replacing a North X-Ride 135 x 39 and i didnt feel i was riding a big board when using the Dundee. The wind was low and offshore so not a good test but the board felt great so i am taking a chance and ordering - i ...

Re: Tow-Side question on "Strapped" surfboard ?

I dont gybe so do a lot of toe-side riding - when i am toe-side i lean towards the front of the board and have most of my weight on the front foot. My back heel is not touching the board. I also make sure my feet are as far into the loose straps as possible before turning. When i have just made the ...
