Re: Help a mate launch or land, with your kite in the air

What happens if it powers up, or a line snaps or gets tangled round a pulley :o Personally, if I didn't have a fixed tether or the ballast to fill ...

Re: Kite Storage - Cold Weather

Just a minor point .. leave the tops of your kite bags open as well, lets them breathe, so if there's any moisture in there it can escape. :thumb:

Re: Looking for jumping board that's easy on the knees

As people have suggested, something with a lot of flex and good rocker. Nobile NHP has bags of rocker and flex, not so great for huge pop, but good for general riding in choppy conditions and softer landings. You can also adjust the angle of the pads as well, which may help you a little. I got mine ...

Re: My first real self rescue today

That's a good idea for the board leash. Also, remember that if you're using something like the Cab IDS system, and you find yourself having to self rescue, you can always detach the leash and connect it onto the board, as the leash does not form part of the depower set up. Then just throw it behind ...

Re: My first real self rescue today

gbleck, You said "you can go up one line" Can you expand on that? For instance... which line? Will any line do? or just one of the double lines of the new style safety system... Do you recommend swimming along side the line? Grabbing the line with one hand and ratcheting yourself up the line, while...

Re: Cabrinha IDS malfunction

I agree that this doesn't sound like a malfunction, it's just what the kite can do when you transfer the load onto the IDS, it either sits in the 'horse shoe' position or as somebody else said rolls over onto it's leading edge. I think one important point to remember is take a step or two towards th...
