From my experience I'd be super safety concious and use town land till told you cant and DEFINATLY ask farmers permission. He may have frost sensitive cpops under snow and even x-country skiing can cause damage. I have flown on LOTS of farmers feilds and only refused once for previous mentioned reas...

Yes some of the show kites require a piliot but they are mostly used to provide additional lift in gusty\lully conditions. Flying at a higher altitude the piliots generally get stabler wind.

Hey Brian Hey Lemur, how well do the ice fishing shack anchors work? I've only used ice screws. Do the employ quicklylike a hook, or do they drill in like a screw?
