Swimming with/in a bag of water is impossible to say the least. But to say that it will make you sink is factual wrong. It's just not possible. If you jump in the water with an open zipper you will be under water already because of the jump. To surface again is, well, hard. But that's also a matter ...

Water is neutrally buoyant in water, so there is no “weight” to pull you down.

I'm sorry but that is BS. A *good* drysuit will always do better than a thick wetsuit.
