Re: How To Self-Land a Kite in High Winds

What about those days where you start kiting at a given wind (like 20 knots) but then the wind comes up while you are inside. You are alone and still need yo land the kite by yourself. I would say putting a sand anchor before entering the water is the safest. My question is how reliable is the anch...

Re: Self-teaching

Lots of people have been self taught, but if you were to ask them again, I think they'd all say they wish they had taken lessons. From my experience: I flew a friends trainer kite, got hooked, bought a 12 meter C kite, no lessons, tried to launch it (after watching the DVD's over and over again, go...

Re: Rebel with low V bar?

I have posted about low V on Rebel before (search my name). I have been flying 2012 and 2015 Rebels with 20m from kite to Y split and 27m backlines (7m from Y split to bar). 2012 and 2015 fly very well this way with increased power and hangtime; however kiteloops are a little harder as kites don't c...

Re: How to ruined your vacation with Core

I've split a kite down the middle. It was a reputable non-Core brand. I had a fairly long swim arriving at shore after dark. Pro tip: wash the salt and sand off kite with fresh water and let it dry before you tape it. Even better if you can clean the area with some isopropyl alcohol. Conflict of in...

How to land your kite in 20kn.
High winds are when you see beach chairs flying horizontally. I'd like to see that kind of self landing

Re: cant reach full depower

Make sure that your kite is tuned for hard bar setting = max depower range. It will depower more with less arm movement.

Re: Very Lightweight TT board sleeve/cover

Ikea has huge duffel bags called 'Tostero', various sizes, very cheap and sturdy. Should work for you (I fit 2 Shinn Speedballs with padding in 1 bag)

Re: Megaloop Boardoff

I have seen Aurelien riding and he is just a very versatile rider, all kinds of great Airstyle tricks but also good in the Megaloop business and combining the two.. Certainly much more entertaining to watch than any of the Boots Brigade and the Wakestyle/ Handlepass Marionettes... Good luck Aurelie...
