Re: The Safety Topic: please post your experience and advice!

Deathloops on launch WILL happen in your kitesurfing career. it may be just a few bruises and a laugh, or a life in a wheelchair or worse. In my case it was a slight concussion and a broken rib... and I was wearing helmet and PFD. It was a perfectly normal launch like I have done 10,000 time before...

Re: Triple & quad ripstop

So anecdotally, my friend's 2018 North Vegas still ripped its canopy in a crash. So maybe not the miracle fabric It's made out to be. Though apparently Naish were so happy with how well their new material stood up on last year's Torch that they were able to remove the dacron reinforcing on the wing...

Re: Opinion on NP helmets

Jus' saying that I have been using the Pro-Tech ace water helmet and it's super comfy, and cheap. Years ago wearing this helmet I passed out for several seconds when I hit my head on sand during a deathloop on launch (also broke a rib, that's another story) so there's that, but I don't know if anoth...

Re: Maybe I'll get to keep my name after all..

Foil, I think your numbers are off. No way north sold 60k kites. (?). I agree .. taken from a clip on youtube from their Dutone Launch meeting in Tarifa DFA67568-BB27-41B6-A6B9-6C43EF4031C4.jpeg You can see that the Rebel WAS (emphasis on WAS) the most sold kite... until they made it 4 lines I gues...

Dan-At-Duotone is STILL the man. Thank you for sending me the ope-pump tubes, and the 5th line length specs, and all the info over the years. You are still the best reason to buy Duotone kites!

Re: Second TwinTip

Shinn Speedball 18w.... fast, super loose, great light wind/upwind. Dirt cheap as you can still find some closeout sales in the UK. Only downside is no pop.

Re: Rescuing A Loose Kite At Sea ...

I have seen it done on flat water. Experienced rider approached by the leading edge, scooped it up and rode back to beach with bar and lines dragging in the water, kite upside down like you hold it on the beach. I had tried to do same earlier and got tangled in the loose kite's lines... got free in ...

I always thought it was screaming, jumping up and down flailing your arms around like a drunk chicken. Always works for me....
